"A taste you'll surely miss..."

It's Friday! Hold on, there's something wrong. What is it? The girls didn't have any plans so I went home so early. duh. HAHA. But that didn't stop me to enjoy my Friday lovin'. Let me just tell you this one short story. I really craved for pizza since yesterday. (Guess this is my 2nd post about my pizza cravings. Please do watch out for my next pizza chronicles^^ #pizzalover)  My niece and I were even singing the Parokya ni Edgar's song, "Picha Pie" (Yes, I sing their songs-.-). I also wished to get a pizza pie box straight from outer space. That would be pretty awesome. Okay, so much for that crazy thinking.

What's good these days is that your cravings are just a phone call away. I decided to have pizza delivery to satisfy my cravings. Life is way too convenient. Since there are too many people in the house, I opted for Alberto's Pizza. It is a Cebu grown pizza company which offers a variety of pizza flavors in a very affordable price. After placing my order over the phone, the staff told me to wait for them to call back. It was about 15 minutes when they did and informed me that my pizzas are coming in 5 minutes. Yes! Life moves pretty fast. The perks of technology advances.

The innovative minds of Filipinos will never come to an end. Another food trip destination that can be enjoyed by the adventurous foodies, Azul Cebu: Tuslob Buwa Experience. It is located right next to InkinIan Tattoo which is along the streets of Asilo, Gorordo Avenue (between Yamaha and Aerophone). If you are going downtown, it's on your right. They are open from Monday to Sunday: 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 A.M.

Tuslob Buwa is one of Cebu's exotic street foods. These two words coined together literally means "tuslob" = "to dip" and "buwa" = "bubbles". To dip into bubbles. It's quite common among the working class and some students because of it's affordability which can really satiate one's hunger. However, it may pose health risks (especially those found on the streets) because you share your dip with other people (you may refer to first picture). In spite of that, this is still a hit among Cebuanos. That's why when Azul offered this new experience alongside their convenience and liquor store, many people were are rushing to this place.

So, allow me to start my First-Ever Tuslob Buwa Chronicles.

Azul means BLUE. That explains the ambiance.

It was really a good experience. I always wanted to try Tuslob Buwa but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I am just so glad that Azul came up with this idea. Not just that, they also serve other Filipino favorites like sisig, siomai, kropek, etc. You can definitely chill and have good vibes in this place. One more set, please! :)

"I Crave, I Love."

I visited their shop at SM Cebu last week to get something for my birthday dinner with my family. This is their menu:

Since it's already the Yuletide season, they also offer their holiday sweets.

You need to go to their counter to place your order. After ordering, they will ask for your name then they will give you the receipt with your name and your number. They estimated 20 minutes for them to finish my order. While waiting, I took some pictures of their interior.

How to get famous? Then eat what's famous. So, we must admit that we are a little delayed with the so-called latest craze in town. They already have a lot of branches here in Cebu (e.g. SM City Cebu, SM Consolacion, Gaisano Malls). However, I didn't bother to buy one (craving is not that strong-.-). I just pass by and savour the very sweet smell of these waffles. I read other posts about the Belgian Waffles then I was surprised that others will even wait for an hour just to have a bite of these waffwiches. I also heard good comments from my friends so I decided to finally grab a bite. Good thing that they already have a branch in I.T. Park which is located near the entrance of Skyrise 3. Another good thing was that there weren't many customers so we didn't have to wait for a long time.

I really wonder how the guards of Skyrise 3 can endure the smell of these waffles without giving in. -_- Let's take a look at their choices.

Simply Perfect or Perfect Combination??

After a few minutes, we already decided our flavors. We chose: Plain, Blueberry and Chocolate Peanut Butter. You should pay as you order then you will be given a receipt/claim slip indicating your number then just wait for your number to be called. While waiting for our waffwiches:

We just waited for more or less 10 minutes and tadaa, it's time to chow down our waffwiches.

The verdict. Well, that was good for a quite affordable price. Based on the aroma of the waffles, I expected to have a very sweet one but it tricked us. It's not really that sweet which is good because it makes you want to eat more (we didn't, though). Since I'm an avid fan of crunchy/crispy foods, this one really satisfied me. It has a little crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. Just be sure to eat it at once by the time you receive it. I just love it. My friend let me try the blueberry flavor and it's good. Mine is the chocolate peanut butter and it's perfect for me. It also has small chunks of peanuts in it. That's what you call a Perfect Combination. Cravings, satisfied! We'll come back for more...
