Mother's Day Gift Ideas
Mark your calendars on the 11th of May as most countries in the world are going to honor the real "superwoman" in our society. Mother's Day. A single day to give back the time, effort and emotions that our mothers have lavished on us. A day to make them feel that everything is greatly appreciated. A day to remind them that being a mother is not a tiresome but rather a life-affirming passion.
As we are living in a fast-paced, modernized world, unfortunately, some people really forget to even paying their mothers a single compliment which I think is pretty heartbreaking. I know because as much as I don't want to admit this, I DID the same thing too. When I was young, I was not really expressive and I was too nonchalant. I didn't realize that being a single mother to four daughters is a hard row to hoe. I didn't realize that while I was busy playing with my friends, my mother was also busy planning for our future. I didn't realize that while I was spending my money like water on useless things, my mother was saving every penny for our needs. I didn't know because she never told me. I didn't know because she never showed it. The cons of being a teener.
"Love and appreciate your parents.
We are so busy growing up,
we often forget that they are also growing old."
Pardon me for making this post a lengthy and dramatic one. I was just carried away by my emotions. (huhu) My point here is that I hope that you will make this 2nd Sunday of May a special one for your mother. The one who carried you for 9 months. The one who gave up her figure just to give life to another body. The one who fights for you. The one who loves you unconditionally♥. Make every day a Mother's Day but for those who are planning something for this special day, here are some gift ideas which I think will surely make your mothers happy.
#Throwback Mother's Day 2013
A collection of essays for mothers + our heartfelt messages.
I placed this present in the kitchen. I always put my mother's present in the kitchen because I know that it's the first place she goes to when she wakes up in the morning. Surprise! HAHA
1. FULL BODY PAMPERING. Mothers are always busy and stressed; at work, at home or both. A perfect treat to ease their pain and take their stress away.
2. HAIR DAY. Sometimes, mothers don't care about how they look anymore. They have more important things to consider than making a fuss over their hair. Make her crowning glory back to life.
3. LOVE VOUCHER COUPONS. If you don't have enough time and money to prepare and you think that you can't make it this Sunday, then these coupons might come to hand.
4. BREAKFAST EXTRAVAGANZA. Not the breakfast you can have in restaurants, but the one made by yourself. However, you need to wake up real early and try to work discreetly.
5. A ROYAL TREATMENT. Treat her like a queen because she is. Never let her do any chores for this day, take care of everything. Let her do her thing.
6. MOM'S DAY OUT. It's a Sunday so you can spend time in church. Or you can eat out in her favorite restaurant. Or you can go shopping. Or do everything.
7. DIY. It takes effort but as they say, nothing can beat anything that is personalized. With a touch of your love, this will surely be appreciated.
8. STUFF LIKE THAT. One of the easiest ideas but as much as possible, try to get something which is her interest. Is she collecting something? Does she have a hobby? Is there something she really likes to buy? Think about these things.
9. GIFT CERTIFICATES. If you don't have any idea on what to get for her, then gift certificates are a great help. Grab one from her favorite shopping mall!
10. XOXO. A simple kiss and a hug will make her feel loved and special.
These are just simple and easy ideas but still it will make the day special. Choose one or do all. The bottom line is that it's the thought which truly counts. As long as you do it from the bottom of your heart, then you can never go wrong. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there!
