"A Sweet Journey."

A sweet journey not just for the featured restaurant in this write-up but for my dear batchmates slash friends and me as well. May 21, 2014 marked our 2nd year as colleagues in a prestigious corporation. It is kinda awe-inspiring that we have been doing the same daily grind for the past two years that even I couldn't imagine how I was able to surpass every single day. Daammn, it's a whole lot of patience and perseverance yet also a whole lot of fun and a great learning. However, it wouldn't be all possible without the help and support of the wonderful people surrounding me. You know who you are! Thanks a lot! I truly love you all ♥ To my dear batchmates, we started from 12 and now we are down to 3. May we continue to support each other. Though we may have different and hectic schedules, may we always find time to catch up with what's going on with our lives. Let's make our journey sweeter and may the odds be ever in our favor. :)

As a post-anniversary celebration, we decided to eat out in one of the newest attractions in the metropolis which is currently on their soft opening. The New 10 Dove Street. This quaint cafe had its humble beginning in Sto. Niño Village, Banilad. Unfortunate as you may think, I wasn't able to visit the place (*sigh*) because I couldn't find the right time and the right people (pardon my excuses. HAHA). I am just so glad that they moved to a new location which is more accessible to the public. They are now located at Oakridge Business Park in Mandaue. It's a new location yet they promise to keep the same tradition. Sweet:)

They are open from Mon-Sun: 10:00 A.M. - 10:00 P.M. We went there at around 4 P.M. and I guess that is a good time to visit the place if you don't have any reservations. We stayed there for over 2 hours and there were more people coming over in the evening.

The Place.
I am truly, madly, deeply in love with the place. The vintage and classy decorations are simply adorable. The  cafe's country style is what making the place more homey. It's like breaking away from the city yet you're not actually moving away from it. Get it? Get it? HAHA. So, I've got a bunch of pictures for you guys:)

The Story Behind 10 Dove Street.

The Menu.

My Order.
As rice lovers as we are, we chose the Kitchen Favorites.

SOUP
B r o c c o l i  &  C h e e s e  S o u p
 ENTREE
C a p t a i n  L e e ' s  B o u n t y
Pan-fried fish fillet drizzled with special peanut sauce. Served with rice.

It's quite new to my taste but I should say that the mild sweetness of the peanut sauce really complements the blandness of the fish. Nomnom!

(My friends')
A w e s o m e  B u r g e r  S t e a k
10 Dove Street's version of the popular burger steak comes with homemade gravy. Served with rice or bread.

R o a s t  B e e f  D y l a n
Thinly sliced tender roast beef smothered with sautéed onions and mushrooms and topped with melted cheese. Served with bread or rice.

 DESSERT
C h o c o l a t e  D e c a d e n c e

I get so weak in the knees, I can hardly speak, I lose all control and something takes over me.
Lalala. This is the best part!

All in all, that was a really great and enjoyable dining experience. The personalized service is something that I can commend. That was a perfect anniversary celebration. There's nothing sweeter than delectable foods shared with a great set of friends. And that's a perfect slice of heaven. I am excited to come back again for another slice. :)

P.S.: After 10 Dove Street, we visited Oakridge Garden Plaza Cafe. I hope you can also check on that in my other post. ^^

Till next post, lovies. Ciao!
