"Happy Valentine's Day, lovies :x"
It is the time of the year again when the green earth turns into red, hearts are scattered everywhere, flowers are in full bloom, public display of affection. Valentine's Day. A very special day for some, a normal day for others; but isn't it delightful to feel the love in the air in the most romantic season of the year? A day to celebrate love even though others are still questioning on what is the true meaning of this word.
LOVE. A four-letter word which stirs the mind of each living individual on the face of the earth. So simple yet too complex. So short yet too broad. Considered to be a universal language that even a baby can understand yet no single meaning can be attached to this word. As quoted by Paulo Coelho, "The aim of every human being is to understand the meaning of total love". So, it made me think. What is love? That is the question.
Whenever I have this query, Corinthians 13: 4-7 always pops out of my mind. It is one of my favorite proverbs about love.
As for the intellectual point of view, let's try to check Merriam-Webster's denotation.
I also love how Albert Einstein put his stand about this subject.
However, no matter how many definitions, quotes and proverbs you know about love, it all boils down to one point: "Love will remain just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning".
Maybe, we all need our own special someone for us to fully understand what love really is. It may be our friends, our family, our lover. And I guess, it's true. This heart of mine knows nothing about love until someone came and gave it a different light. So, if you'll ask me what love is then love for me are the following:

Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.How complicated and intriguing love is that even a genius had his say.

♥It is enjoying a ride and feeling the wind as it touches my face.
♥It is delighting in the smell of corns and craving to have some.
♥It is listening to the sound of waves.
♥It is feeling good standing in the rain.
♥It is listening to the same song at the same time.
♥It is listening to your favorite songs because it seems like the sound of your heart.
♥It is listening to you sing a song just to make me feel happy.
♥It is how you show your concern in the simplest way.
♥It is sitting down, talking about nothing and just enjoying the silence.
♥It is talking about dreams and aspirations in life.
♥It is watching you doing what you love to do.
♥It is looking at your sleeping face without being noticed and how the sight is so relaxing.
♥It is knowing every little detail of yours that even you are unaware of.
♥It is you teaching me how to pray though I already know how to.
♥It is praying together.
♥It is feeling low when you're unhappy.
♥It is letting my tears fall when I remember you're not by my side.
♥It is sacrificing my own pleasure for your happiness because it is also contagious.
♥It is hoping and praying that you'll find what you're looking for.
♥It is officially missing you.
♥It is waiting for you.
♥It is listening to the slightest whisper of my heart that I'll continue how I feel for you.
There are still many things that I wanted to write but it may take so long before I finish it right. Small things and great things; happy moments and melancholic moments. Every little thing about us is my definition of love. I know it's crazy but I guess love's like that, simple and complicated at the same time. That is why no philosophers, geniuses or wise men can give the exact meaning of love. I believe that each of us has our own definition of love and I just shared mine. ♥
